Lynda Stevens has worked in social housing in the public and voluntary sector for over 30 years, 20 of them in charitable housing associations. As Regional Housing Manager with the Peabody Trust for 17 years she was responsible for the management of their estates in inner city areas in south London. Lynda have been actively involved Southwark Civic Association, which administered Southwark Council’s annual civic awards scheme and was Vice-Chairman of Southwark Safer Cities initiative. I was deeply involved in the setting up of one of the first foyers for young homeless people in London.

Lynda Stevens has been a director of Bellingham Community Project a subsidiary of the Foundation since 26 November 1997 and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 23 October 2001.

Currently she is the General Secretary of Haig Homes, a registered charity, established as a memorial to Earl Haig of Bemerside which provides housing throughout the United Kingdom for former members of the Armed forces and their dependents.

Lynda Stevens is totally committed to the provision of good quality housing services and to assisting those in financial difficulty to retain their home.

Her interests are travel and gardening.
