Councillor Lynne Hillan has been elected chairman of London Councils' Grants Committee at its annual general meeting.
Councillor Hillan is a leading member of Barnet Council, where she holds the post of Cabinet Member for Community Services.
London Councils' Grants Committee oversees London Councils' £28 million grants scheme, which commissions services from more than 300 groups working across the capital to improve the lives of Londoners as well as those visiting or working in the city.
